Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Phoned vendor, sent vendor emails, sent emails to Republican National Committee. Very difficult to get acknowledgement from vendor until they took their action snd solved the problem.

Original review Jan 03, 2024
Individual concerned: Philip D. Francis.

Problem erroneously charged $5000 recurring donation to credit account. Winred has charged $5000 to my account on November 27 and December 15, 2023. Somebody else is donating this money and you are charging it to my account. This is apparently a recurring donation.

$5000 represents half my monthly income and I cannot afford this.. You are requested to abolish these charged and return $5000 you have now to the account... You will observe when I do donate it is in amounts usually under $50.00. .

You are wiping out my bank account and credit score.

As none of the on line sites typically do not have check the box for over $2500 an amount like this would have to have been entered manually. which I have not done.

I, along with everyone else I've spoken to, say do not contribute to WinRed. It ranges from pestering to tricking individuals into a weekly or monthly donation.

Why do I need to give my email to contribute?

You run your organization like Democrats. I had every intention of donating today until I tried your site.

If it were run like the Democrats run their organization you would be very happy with the results. I've donated several times to democratic organizations, (though I'm a Republican, I'll never vote for a felon) and they never have a default setting that would charge you monthly they don't keep your information and they don't hound you incessantly.

WinRed - I have already let you know. This is my second.

What else do you want me to say. Its pretty clear.

I want a refund on two close but separate dates. One for 250.00. One for 100.00. I will not be degraded or told I dont love my country.

I have given. But the campaign can not embarrass me telling my to donate to you again.

At least 7 times a day. Im finished.

WinRed - Spam texts

In the last week, I have received no less than 25 text messages per day. Normally I wouldnt mind this, but when I get all of these spam text messages that are telling me that there is a pole that needs my answers, but it requires a donation, that is scamming.

I have asked repeatedly that my phone number be taken out of your system. But since you refuse to remove it, I will now seek legal counsel to make you remove it out of your system.

WINRED FUND RAISING - PLEASE GET THIS TO SOMEONE WHO CAN CHANGE THINGS. THANKS

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hello WinRed.

First, we want to thank you for all you are doing to help us take back the White House and a solid majority in both the House and the Senate.

We are writing with a concern that may not make sense to you because we are in surge mode and pushing hard for financial resources. However, we believe that WinRed has a genuine problem raising funds.

I no longer use WinRed because I can not afford to have my phone (text messages) and email bombed with fund-raising. We have friends that are far more wealthier than we are, and they have had the same problem and no longer give to the GOP through WinRed. A person may unsubscribe 50 times - it makes no difference. If you test STOP, you will get a STOP confirmation, which is another intrusion and annoyance, but it never stops.

I think STOP should STOP WinRed, not just that specific candidate.

There has got to be a better way to do this. Maybe send us a text 2 or even 3 times per week where we open to a page where we can see the candidates and a BRIEF description of their story and what they plan on doing for us, and then check a box to support that candidate with an amount. It should include a clear notice that WinRed will only send out urgent reminders a couple of times per week and not bomb their phone or email. There may be better ideas, but I believe the current method is killing us and costing us millions in financial resources.

The other day I heard President Trump address the people, and I really wanted to give right then, but I knew if I did, I would increase the bombing of my text messages and my email, so I did NOT give.

That was $100.00 lost. There was a time in the past when you could give directly to the Trump Campaign without going through WinRed. A lot of people did that because they did not want to be bombed by WinRed. Nowadays, WinRed is about the only way to give, so people JUST DON'T do it.

The other thing that hurts us is crying and begging for help.

For example, Jen Kiggans recently texted me this.

I guess that's all she wrote.

Maybe my hopes were just too high. I was counting on a huge response from my last text, but I've come up short.

We can't continue to conduct the campaign as usual if we aren't able to raise what we need to keep the lights on and pay our staff.

I'm Jen Kiggans. I'm not sure you've heard of me, but this text is a heartfelt & humble request for your help.

Why would anyone be motivated to give? Many people who read this will conclude that most are not supporting her.

She goes on to say that Joe Biden and the Dem Machine have 180 million lined up to crush her. If the Dems have 180 million in contributions and she can't even keep the lights on, that does not speak well of her candidacy. That tells the reader that she must be a horrible candidate. Jen is just one of many examples of horrible, negative PR from our candidates.

Who wants to give to a loser? We need to hear a brief description of who she is, what she stands for, and what she will do if elected. We need to hear a positive message of hope and a bright future - not all this stuff about the Dems out funding us, and we've come up short.

Finally, what Jen Kiggans and the many others crying the blues in their failed efforts as a candidate DON'T KNOW is this. There may have been people who wanted to give, even with their defeatist PR approach, but WILL NOT and CAN NOT because of WinRed.

If you give just ONE TIME through WinRed, you will learn very quickly NEVER to do that again as your phone and email become practically unusable because of the bombing.

So, I hope you will actually get this message to someone who can make a decision about future fundraising efforts and find a way to make this work. Many of us want to give but can not afford the fallout.

Thanks for all you do. President Trump has our Vote for sure.

The Republican National Committee two-year failure to replace WinRed with a reliable, non-profit application is costing republican candidates and conservative causes millions in donations as voters op out of using it.

Guest

Until the RNC stops using dysfunctional WinRed to process contributions - they will lose 80% of attempts to contribute.

Guest

Very well said. These same complaints are echoed on the Trustpilot site.

It makes me wonder who is in control that wants the Republicans and especially Pres. Trump defeated.

Guest

Totally agree with John Vogt. WinRed sucks.

I have been getting texts emails calls like 20 times every 5 minutes. Stop does not help. WinRed will not take responsibility. I get communications from any republican on ticket and others promoting candidates.

Even democratic ones. Good grief.

Guest

Right now there are 218 text messages from Republican candidates on my mobile phone. I can't keep up with deleting them.

I will NEVER make a donation through my mobile phone with the way that I am being bombarded with text messages. Win Red has gotten a reputation of being a scam. I may have to get a different phone. My own contacts get lost in the mess of too many text messages.

It's no wonder the Democrats are outraising the Republicans in this campaign. Doris Leonard, a fed-up voter

Seems impossible to get a live person in the phone at Winred.

They continuously distribute your phone number so you receive political texts non stop. Even when you respond to a text with Stop, they keep coming from other numbers. It seems impossible to actually stop them, especially when you don't have your original form of pmt from years ago to login.

Absolutely *** not.

Original review Oct 02, 2024
At this point, I'm wondering if WinRed is actually run by Democrats trying to discourage conservatives from donating. This company gaslights hard.

I've asked them to remove my info from their database, they said they did, but that was months ago and I still get bombarded with dozens of texts every day. Replying 'stop' does nothing but encourage more messages from different burner numbers. WinRed keeps asserting they're not behind it when they absolutely are. Candidates I've never donated to use their database to contact me.

How is that not on them?! I'm not changing my phone number I've had for 20+ years to stop them, but I've considered it. It's absolutely asinine. I've contacted the FCC and will probably keep doing so.

I used to email WinRed customer service all the texts they sent me every time they sent a text, and I'm pretty sure they've blocked my email addresses because I don't hear from them anymore. Once, a customer service agent replied 'stop' to one of my emails that had one of their texts in it, and I responded with 'Yea, it's annoying, isn't it?!' No response after that, haha.

Seriously though, I *** hate this company and they should be held accountable for their sleazy practices. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Dems in disguise.

More spam than ever now... despite sending stop back numerous times, complaints to the fcc...

attorney general and bbb...but everyone knows how this place was built, so ignoring NON CONSENT is what THEY do. Trump is a FELON and everyone at his pac's are ones too. They belong behind bars. Ignoring a persons request to stop is a felony.

That is what these spammers are and Trump is happy to support this type of behavior, he doesn't respect elections or anybodys will. Rpe your phone, just like they did on the plantation..I guess my phone isn't my property, guess it belongs to the "owners" so they can just COME IN AT WILL and DO WHAT THEY WANT!They do not respect anyone.

This is the trait of people like Trump and his PAC's, just showing the world WHAT THEY ARE! Criminals.

Original review Sep 19, 2023
Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Desantis all use this company to spam text from different numbers 24/7 begging for money. and they make it impossible to opt out.

I am filing a complaint with the BBB and FTC today. I have asked them several times to stop and they refuse.

Ive even emailed them. They are criminals.

So here's something to try since they pay for all these text messages. Keep replying stop over and over and over so they have to keep sending automated messages.

If we all did that then they would have to pay more in messages then they would ever get in donations therefore the text messages would stop. In theory that is.

This is a for-profit business run by political scammers. Gerrit Lansing is a former WH staffer and the person who founded this group.

They have taken in millions - and according to detailed news reports - WinRed was organized as a for-profit, privately held company. Profits were to be split 60-40 between two other for-profit enterprises, Revv and Data Trust. I made a $50 donation to a campaign in 2019 and they took out $50 per week for 4 weeks before I figured out what was going on.

Now I can't get them to stop text spamming for every single election in the country. This is a sham of a PAC and they are scammers begging people for money, It is DISGUSTING!

linda gail o

same here! I will NEVER donate again because of them!

Guest

I will NEVER DONATE TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AGAIN! Because of the harassment!

I made the mistake of donating and they passed my info around like I was a two-bit you know what! A few months ago, I finally got the phone calls stopped, and now 3 or 4 TEXT MESSAGES A DAY! The unwanted text has been going on for almost a year! I have contacted them SEVERAL TIMES and they just say hit stop!

They KNOW it doesn't stop it as they just use a different phone number for the new ones AFTER I hit stop!

I think they are the very reason Rep donations are low! I will never give in to the harassment!

Guest

Amen! I refuse to donate through Win Red anymore.

It’s for-profit! Could it be true that Jared Kushner is cashing out with a percentage of the millions of dollars being donated to Republican candidates??????

Guest

Forget all about the BBB ; they have no legal or ethical authority in any of the 50 states. It is a privately owned and operated concern which relies on contributions from "member" businesses who want the little gold foil sticker for their cash register.

An urban legend that, despite the facts, continues to live on in the hearts of the uninformed.

They'll take your report. That and nothing will buy you ...nothing.

Guest

Still getting texts from WINRED
Original review Apr 25, 2024

I am still getting texts from WINRED - even though I have expressly said that they do not have authorization to text my phone number. So - Spam.

They lie and beg for money. This has been going on for 4 years. I am completely fed up! New tactic - let's flood the CEO - Ryan Lyk's social media and email - his email appears to be ryan@***.co, and he's on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryanlyk/, and his twitter/X handle is @RyanLyk.

He appears to be super excited about a new Revv/WINRED program that helps them get even more $$ with a new "Upsell Pathway" - my guess is this will mean even more texts that they claim that they have nothing to do with.

Liars, beggars, thieves.

I have officially left the Republican party because of the WINRED disgusting practices of outright stealing from people and harassing people with unsolicited non-stop texts and emails. They are the lowest of the low.
